Silver Cyclists from Taiwan Ride to the Southernmost Tip of Asia! 🇹🇼🚴‍♂️🇲🇾

Yesterday, I had the wonderful opportunity to welcome a very special group in Pontian, invited by Mr. Teh, the founder of the well-known travel agency CIME Services & Travel Sdn Bhd based in Melaka.

This inspiring team of 12 cycling enthusiasts came all the way from Taiwan, with the youngest member in their 50s—proving that age is just a number when you have passion and strength! 💪

Their journey started with a direct flight from Taipei to Penang. From there, they toured through Penang, Ipoh (Perak), Port Dickson (Negeri Sembilan), and began their cycling adventure from Port Dickson down to Melaka, Muar, Batu Pahat, Pontian, Kukup Fishing Village, and finally reached their ultimate destination—Tanjung Piai, the southernmost point of mainland Asia! 🧭🌍

What an incredible display of stamina and spirit! Truly admirable from the bottom of my heart. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will surely bring them unforgettable memories and happiness to take back home.

Along the way, they passed by a local Malay family hosting a traditional wedding at home. I approached the host, Cikgu Faizah, to ask if our Taiwanese friends could join in to experience local culture—and to my delight, she warmly said “Yes” without hesitation! 🥰🎉

And just like that, our guests had a surprise cultural highlight added to their journey—being part of a real Malaysian wedding! They tasted traditional Malay food, took joyful photos, and were full of awe and appreciation, saying things like “So special!” and “Such happiness!”

This journey wasn’t just about cycling—it was a heartfelt cultural exchange. They didn’t just see Malaysia; they felt it.

Thank you to our Taiwanese friends for choosing Malaysia, and thank you to every Malaysian along the way who smiled, helped, and shared our warmth. 🌏❤️
