Visit Johor 2026 – Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Home of JDT!

On 15 August 2025 at 3pm, I had the honour, in my capacity as EXCO of the Malaysian Inbound Tourism Association (MITA) and founder of PusatPelancongan.com, to be invited to the Visit Johor 2026 Sticker Promotion Launch held at the iconic Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, home ground of Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT).

The event was organised by the Johor Tourism Association (JTA), in collaboration with Tourism Johor and industry partners. It was chaired by Col. Mohammed Jamal (Honorary Chairman of JTA), while the official speech of Johor’s Chief Minister, YAB Dato’ Onn Hafiz bin Ghazi, was delivered on his behalf by Tourism Johor Director, Tuan Nasrul.

The highlight of the day was a convoy of diverse vehicles—including buses, a luxury Hummer, Alphard, tourist vans, beca trishaws, Harley Davidson motorcycles, motorhomes & caravans, buggy cars, water sport cars, and Grab vehicles—all affixed with the official “Visit Johor 2026” stickers, symbolising the kick-off of this special sticker promotion campaign.

Jiran Istimewa (JIWA) — A Regional Tourism Collaboration
In his remarks, Bapak Sigit Suryantoro Widiyanto, Consul General of Indonesia in Johor Bahru, emphasised the collaborative potential of Visit Johor 2026 alongside the “Jiran Istimewa (JIWA)” initiative, particularly in fostering tourism connectivity between Johor, Melaka, and the Riau Islands, paving the way for stronger regional tourism growth.

I was also delighted to reconnect with industry colleagues and friends, including Ajmal Ahmad, President of the Johor City & Nature Tourist Guide Association, and my long-time friend Encik Ramlan. The overall execution and detailed arrangements of this event were successfully coordinated by Mr. Chua, founder of PSHOLIDAYS.COM Sdn Bhd – congratulations on a well-organised and successful event!

I also noted the presence of media representatives from China Press, Sin Chew Daily, and The Iskandarian, whose coverage plays a vital role in promoting Visit Johor 2026 and supporting the tourism industry at large.

Visit Johor 2026 is more than just a campaign – it is an open invitation to explore Johor’s wonders, from its rich culture and natural beauty to its gastronomy and heartfelt hospitality.
