Royal Belum Rainforest Perak – 130 million years oldest rainforest in the world! A Joyful Vacation Exploring Malaysia’s Nature & Culture 🌿🌊
I finally completed a dream road trip across Peninsular Malaysia! Starting from Johor Bahru in the south, we drove along the North-South Expressway,
passing through the historical city of Melaka, the vibrant capital Kuala Lumpur, the food haven Ipoh, and the royal town Kuala Kangsar, before stopping for a delicious riverside lunch in the UNESCO World Heritage site Lenggong Valley 🐟🍤.
We then continued our journey through the scenic town of Gerik and entered the beautiful East-West Highway,
which brought us deep into the lush greenery of Pulau Banding. We stayed at the tranquil Belum Rainforest Resort, nestled within the tropical rainforest 🌳.
The next day was full of adventure! We took a speedboat ride across Tasik Temenggor, the second-largest man-made lake in Southeast Asia. Surrounded by untouched wilderness and serene waters, it was absolutely breathtaking.
We also ventured into the pristine Royal Belum Rainforest. After a challenging jungle trek through vines, moss, and dense greenery,
we finally arrived at a hidden waterfall — a truly spectacular sight! The cascading water, the cool mist, and the sounds of nature made it an unforgettable moment 💧🌈.
🏞️ A Natural Retreat, A Soulful Recharge
This journey not only allowed me to witness Malaysia’s natural beauty up close,
but also reminded me of the charm of local travel. Tasting authentic local food, discovering small towns, and immersing myself in nature was such a simple yet fulfilling joy.
